SOMETHING DEEPER
Between the Years
An End-of-Year Retreat Day
An annual retreat day held between Christmas and New Year. A day to pause, breathe, reflect on the year that's been and create a meaningful vision for the one ahead. Through breathwork, journalling, visualisation, delicious seasonal food and vision board creation, we'll spend the day together in an intimate group of just eight women.
THE INTENTION
What is Between the Years?
There's something magical about twixmas - those quiet days between Christmas and New Year. The celebrations have passed. The new year hasn't quite begun. Time almost feels like it stands still - in between the leftovers and spaciousness - its thought to be a time when the veil is thin - the most powerful time to envision the coming 12 months,
So for the 4th year, I’m inviting a small group of 8 women to join me - in spending the day intentionally.
Together we'll reflect on the year that's been, breathe, eat beautiful food, create, imagine what's possible and gently welcome in the year ahead.
No new year, new you, this is still cocooning time.
Just space to reflect of what you’ve loved, what you’d like to leave behind and make more space for…. but in comfies, with the log burner and great company!
WHO IT’S FOR
Is Between the Years for me?
This day is for women craving a gentler way to begin the year.
You might be:
wanting space to reflect
feeling ready to let something go
curious about breathwork
craving meaningful conversation
wanting a creative day away from everyday life
looking for inspiration rather than resolutions
longing to reconnect with yourself
No previous experience is needed.
THE UNFOLDING
What we'll share together:
From the moment you arrive, the session is designed to help you slow down, breathe and experience something meaningful together..
-
We'll begin with a warm welcome, homemade juices and an opening circle. Through gentle journalling and conversation, you'll have space to look back over the year that's been, celebrating what's shaped you and gently acknowledging what you're ready to leave behind.
-
Together we'll move into an expansive, breathwork experience centred around releasing the past and creating space for what's next. There'll be time afterwards to rest, integrate and capture anything that emerged through quiet reflection and journalling.
-
After a seasonal homemade lunch, we'll slow down again with a guided visualisation, inviting you to meet the version of yourself one year from now. Through journalling, you'll explore what she knows, what she's learnt and what she wants you to remember as you step into the year ahead.
-
The afternoon is dedicated to creating your vision board - as a visual reminder of how you want to feel. Using carefully chosen images, words and colours, you'll create something deeply personal to take home with you, before we gather for a closing circle and a simple ritual to plant the seeds.
THE EXPERIENCE
Why it matters
The days between Christmas and New Year are often the first time the world goes quiet. After weeks of looking after everyone else, this day is an invitation to look after yourself. To exhale. To reflect. To remember what matters before life gathers pace again.
-
01. Space to Reflect
The days between Christmas and New Year hold a unique kind of stillness. The celebrations are over, the new year hasn't quite begun, and for many people it's the first chance they've had to properly stop. Rather than rushing into resolutions, we'll spend the day in curiosity.
-
02. A Different Kind of Reflection
Instead of thinking about what you should achieve next year, we'll look at who you've become. We'll celebrate what's brought you joy, honour what's been difficult and vision the space were creating.
-
03. A Gentle Way to Welcome the Year
You'll leave with more than a vision board. You'll leave having been nourished, listened to, deeply breathed and reminded of what’s important to you. Sometimes that's the most valuable gift we can give ourselves before a new year begins.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely. This isn't about making something beautiful or artistic. It's simply a way of exploring what resonates with you and creating a visual reminder of how you'd like the year ahead to feel.
You don't need any previous experience - just a willingness to show up with curiosity.
-
Just yourself a journal and some magazines and anything that helps you feel comfortable. I'll provide vision board materials, refreshments and lunch. I'll send a full list of what to bring a few days before the event.
-
Yes. We'll share a nourishing homemade seasonal lunch together, along with home made snacks and refreshments throughout the day.
-
Please do. Most people do. One of the lovely things about the day is discovering you're in a room full of people who are also choosing to spend this time intentionally.
-
Because the quality of the experience matters to me. A smaller group allows everyone to feel seen, gives us time to move at a gentle pace and creates the kind of atmosphere that's much harder to achieve in a larger room.
